How to use mometasone 50mcg nasal spray

Children 3–11: ONE spray into each nostril once daily (100mcg/day). Adults and children 12+: TWO sprays into each nostril once daily; reduce to ONE spray each side for maintenance once controlled.

  1. Use the age-correct dose

    3–11 years: one spray each nostril once daily. 12+ years: two sprays each nostril once daily.

  2. Reduce when controlled

    Adults and older children: reduce to one spray in each nostril once symptoms are controlled.

  3. Use regularly

    Allow a few days to 2 weeks for maximum effect.

  4. Infection cautions

    Immunocompromised patients should seek urgent advice after exposure to chickenpox or measles.

Use with caution if you have tuberculosis of the respiratory tract or untreated bacterial, fungal or systemic viral infections.

Seek immediate help for swelling of eyes, face, lips or throat, shortness of breath, wheezing, rash or feeling faint. Report blurred vision to your GP or ophthalmologist.
