Using treatment
How to use Amorolfine 5% medicated lacquer
For topical use on nails only. Avoid contact with the eyes, ears and mucous membranes. Apply once a week or as prescribed. Continue until the nail has fully healed. Review every three months; see your GP if there is no improvement.
-
File the affected nail
Use the nail file in the pack to gently file down the surface of the affected nail(s). Do not share the file or use it on healthy nails.
-
Clean the nail
Clean the nail surface with the provided swab. For later applications, clean again so old lacquer is removed before reapplying.
-
Apply the lacquer
Using the reusable spatula, apply lacquer evenly over the whole affected nail surface. Do not tap the spatula on the bottle. Allow the nail to dry fully, then clean the spatula with a swab for reuse.
-
Keep going and protect the nail
Apply once a week or as prescribed until healed (often up to 6 months for fingernails, up to 9 months for toenails). Do not use nail polish or artificial nails. Wear protective gloves when handling organic solvents or when removing the lacquer.
